Squid Toy

Squid Interactive Wand Cat Toy

I have seen things. Dust bunnies that moved on their own. The red dot that vanishes into the void. That suspicious cucumber incident. But nothing… nothing… prepared me for the Houndstone & Co. Squid Interactive Wand Cat Toy.

First impressions: it arrived like prey with ambition. Long, wiggly tentacles. Feathers that whisper secrets. A wand wielded by my human, who suddenly believes they are a master hunter. Adorable.

Now, the important part: does it dance?
Yes. Oh yes. This squid flails like it owes me money. It zigzags, it flutters, it dares to exist within pouncing distance. The string has just enough spring to make my attacks feel cinematic. I launched myself off the couch like a furry torpedo and achieved what I can only describe as spiritual fulfillment.

Durability test:
I applied claws. Many claws. Also teeth. The squid endured. Respect. A lesser toy would have become fluff confetti within minutes. This one? Still wriggling, still mocking me. We have an understanding now.

Human usability:
My human seems entertained too, which is convenient because they are the one holding the wand. The grip works fine, though they lack the instincts of a true predator. I compensate.

Downsides:

  • It does not taste like squid. This feels like false advertising.
  • Requires human participation. I have filed a complaint with management.
  • Occasionally gets stuck under furniture, which I blame on physics.

Final verdict:
5 out of 5 purrs. Would ambush again. Would absolutely drag it triumphantly through the house at 3 a.m. while singing the song of my people.

If you’ll excuse me, the squid has insulted my ancestors and must be dealt with.
